Saskatchewan Blue Cross®, one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers, is currently recruiting part time Corporate Services Clerks in the Corporate Services Department in our Saskatoon Office. This is a temporary position (up to the end of April 2020) with the possibility of extension.

 

JOB FUNCTION

This position provides support to all areas of the organization by effectively handling the sorting, filing, scanning, entry and delivery of documents and information. The position will also provide day-to-day operational support to help ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Corporate Services area.   

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES                                

  • Receive, organize, retrieve, distribute and file mail, faxes, documents and files
  • Receive, prepare, sort, organize, scan and route images
  • Print, fax and photocopy material
  • Stuff and label envelopes
  • Provide support for shipping, receiving, inventory management and mail distribution functions
  • Provide support for building facilities services, such as event set up and basic day-to-day operational needs
  • Efficient and accurate entry of data
  • General administrative support
  • Adhere to established procedures
  • Work collaboratively with all departments across the organization in the provision of corporate services 
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements in work flows and processes
  • Perform other related duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Completion of a High School Diploma
  • Preference will be given to those with a related diploma or business certificate; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role or office environment would be an asset
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to stay organized, work hard and efficiently with an emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to frequent deadlines
  • Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and as a team member with limited supervision
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with various levels of internal and external contacts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with the ability to easily learn new programs
  • Ability to sustain moderate bending and lifting and the ability to push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs  
  • Availability must include a minimum of 3 shifts/week totalling 10-20 hours and be scheduled between Monday-Friday (8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.)
  • Strong commitment and adherence to work schedules
  • The successful candidate may be required to undergo a background check
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
