Working as part of the Group Administration team under the guidance of the Team Lead, and reporting directly to the Manager, Group Administration, the successful candidate will provide accurate and efficient entry and set up of group benefit data. They will contribute to the day to day operational support of the Group Administration area.



  • Complete the entry, setup, and maintenance of data in the administration systems with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Compile and verify information
  • Provide consistent and thorough administrative support
  • Conduct peer audits of entered data to ensure accuracy
  • Provide analytical support in evaluating system set up 
  • Respond to correspondence in the form of telephone and email inquiries
  • Provide support and work effectively within a team environment under general supervision
  • Ensure confidentiality and privacy standards are adhered to
  • Remain current with product knowledge
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned



  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma or certificate program in a related field, and previous administration experience.  A combination of training and experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry, in an office environment, or with the administration of group benefit plans would be considered an asset
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, with the ability to easily learn new software programs
  • Accurate keyboarding skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and frequent deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
