Saskatchewan Blue Cross individual and group insurance policy holders will soon receive a Provincial Sales Tax (PST) refund.
Refunds will be made automatically by Saskatchewan Blue Cross to the policy holder. Policy holders do not have to request or submit a claim to receive a refund..
Saskatchewan Blue Cross is making every effort to process refunds as soon as possible. The majority of refunds are expected to be completed by June 30, 2018.
The refund process is the next step following the announcement by the Government of Saskatchewan on February 26, 2018 that PST would no longer apply to the following insurance premiums, retroactive to August 1, 2017:
- Individual and group life insurance
- Individual and group health, disability, accident and sickness insurance
