Saskatchewan Blue Cross announced today the launch of Blue Essentials, a Group Benefits solution designed to meet the needs of small businesses in Saskatchewan. This plan is available to small business employers across Saskatchewan to offer group health benefits to their employees.
There are over 149,000 small businesses with fewer than 20 employees in Saskatchewan, and those businesses have unique needs when it comes to offering group health benefits. The new Blue Essentials Group Benefits plan is designed with those needs in mind. Blue Essentials offers comprehensive and affordable group insurance options, so employers can offer health benefits to the employees of their small business without worrying about the impact to their bottom line.

Blue Essentials features over 25 benefit options, including coverage for prescription drugs, vision and dental care, travel insurance, hospital stays and extended health benefits like visits to massage therapy and other health practitioners. Employers can also choose to add custom benefits like life insurance, critical illness, or disability insurance.
