Questions? We have answers.
  • Why do I need travel insurance?

You are responsible for potential medical expenses not covered by Saskatchewan Health when you travel outside Saskatchewan, even to another province. Unless you purchase a travel plan, the resulting costs will come out of pocket if you suddenly become ill or have an accident. Don’t leave home without travel coverage!

  • Why choose Blue Cross travel insurance?

With our travel insurance plan, you can rest assured that you’re always protected, no matter where you travel.

    • Travel assistance available 24/7 for any emergency, anywhere you travel.
    • Optional deductiles on emergency medical care costs. Where possible, we arrange payment directly with the hospital.
    • Some pre-existing conditions may be covered for greater peace of mind.
    • We’re a BlueCross® BlueShield®  Association partner - the largest medical network in the United States. We also partner with assistance service providers worldwide.
  • How are rates calculated?

Travel insurance premiums are based on your age, your health* and the duration of your trip. You pay only for what you need.

*Some people may need to fill out a health declaration, which could affect your travel insurance premium.
